Kyo smiled," Your so kind Arisu....you must use that to prevent Iori from his future transformations. Because....as long as those with orochi blood live....he will live. Inside that very seal." he said blood running down his mouth. somehow though Kyo was making progress as he got closer to the castle grounds.

Iori only followed no tears but sighed," Arisu...just let him. He wishes to have a warriors end. He knows his body well, just....let him go in peace." he said quietly. His eyes had pain but Iori would never cry, that would prove he had weakness. For Kyo he would he his rival to the end.

Ari let the silent tears run down her cheeks. As long as she knew she tried to help, there was no chance she could blame herself for his death. Slowly, she backed away from Kyo and headed for Iori instead. "Both of you... please just call me Ari..." she said, knowing that Kyo wouldn't be saying that much longer, or even at all. What she was afraid of most now was that Saya would die with him, and the death of another keeper would bring much more misery and disaster. No one could afford that now.

Looking into Iori's eyes, she could easily tell the sadness in them. She wrapped her arms around Iori and rested her head on his chest, still crying. "Well... we tried right?" she whispered to him, wanting to get some reassurance not only from herself. Then she lifted her head off of his chest and gently pressed her lips against his.

Iori then through pain smiled for her," The lands are safe now from him. But it is the ultimae cost. The sun will now die away." he said quietly as he held Ari tight."...that should have been me...." he said rather quietly as he watched Kusanagi go to the door."...If something happens.....we must protect the lands now." he said quietly. For once in his life Iori the Flame Wielder even demons of hell feared was making a promise to protect others instead of destroy.

Kyo laughed," Ari...I'll keep it in mind in the afterlife." he said as blood left his mouth while he laughed. As he crawled to the castle door Kyo did something unexpected it. He cried as he forced himself to stood," I couldn't keep my promise Saya...I'm...going to die...haha." he said as his flames shot from his hands blasting the door open. His glove still on fire he took it off and dropped it. He knew now that Saya's heart would be broken and she would be in worse pain than him.

Ari held him even tighter, now aware of how glad she was to still have him here, fully alive. "No, I would never let that be you... I wouldn't have it that way." she whispered, the tears falling more freely than before. Then she heard Kyo cry, and her heart sank even deeper than before. It was almost unbearable the emotional pain she was going through. Even more painful than the burns on her arms and legs now.

"Yes... we must protect these lands... we can't afford anyone else we know to die." she said, slowly pulling away from the hug, but one arm still remained around Iori and she turned to face Kyo one last time. "Kyo... thank you. For everything you've done, even if I've only known you for a little while." she said, trying her best to put on a real smile for him. Then, for another second she turned to Iori, trying to wipe her tears away. "Iori.. I love you. I will never leave you, just promise me the same...please."

Kyo smiled as he walked in," Thank you two for letting me do this on my own." he said quietly as he walked into the castle alot of blood on him but most dried now." Saya........" he said reaching up with his bare hand.

Iori held her close," I love you Ari. I will never leave you and I will never die until it is together. For Kyo...we must have our love shine brighter than the sun and moon. " then he though about Saya. "....This won't end well when she gets here." he said quietly. For some reason he still didn't cry but he held Ari so close thinking she would dissapeare if he let go. Damn it Kyo....I was supposed to be the one who ended you. he thought.

She sat there. Tears running down her face. She had seen it. She jhad felt it. Standing, she ran as quickly down the steps as she could. She stod there for a second before going to meet him. Tears were already running down her face and her eyes were red from crying. She ran to him, throwing her arms around him.

"Kyo.....Kyo....no....Oh God, please no." she whispered as she held him. Though she knew it would do nothing for she already felt his spirit dieing, Saya spread her healing light over him. She was crying even harder now.
"Kyo....please Kyo.....don't die......please don't die......." she muttered over and over again. she looked up at him and felt her heart braking.

Ari still held onto Iori tighter, feeling that this hug might be their last even if they were perfectly safe at the moment. Once Saya entered, her heart continued to break as well even if Iori was still alive and right beside her. Though Saya was almost like a good friend to Ari now, and Kyo saved her life, so she had every reason to be sad. "Thank you Iori. I can't really stand to be here anymore, but I'm staying for the both of them." she said, laying her head on his chest once more, though her eyes were still fixed on Saya and Kyo. Please let her healing work...please...

Kyo smiled touching her face and her tears," Saya...please stop your healing. Death is an inevitability all must face. Creating hope will only hurt you more and I don't want that because I love you with the remainder of my being." he said smiling no tears but he dropped to his knees. "Heh remember the first day few days we met. I was a silly moron and you were a cute innocent girl. Such good times....and you must always remember them even if I'm gone." he said kissing her with the remainder of his strength. "Don't...fall....into....daqrkness...your strength and beauty can't allow such a thing. You have a duty as I had my own. To protect and remove all threats against what I hold precious. Now my job is done." he said still smiling weakly. He then looked at Iori," Send news to home. He will come.......do not have him get revenge...Iori...only have him protect." he said.

Iori watched in honor of his rival and when he told him of his home and "him" Iori nodded," I will alert him as soon as possible. And I'll make sure he doesn't do anything stupid." he muttered. Now angry,"....I...was supposed to end you..damn..it." Iori said no completely upset Kyo was dying right in front of his very eyes.
